About this site

This site is operated by A Salute Italian Restaurant & Bar, 74 Main Street, Matawan, New Jersey 07747. We try to keep everything on it accurate and current, but menus, prices, hours and availability change. Nothing on this site is a binding offer — the prices and details confirmed with you directly are the ones that apply.

Menus and pricing

Menu items and prices are subject to change and to availability. Event package prices are starting prices, quoted per guest before tax and gratuity, and are confirmed in writing before you commit. Prices may differ for peak hours, weekends, holidays and full-restaurant buyouts.

Event bookings

• A $200 non-refundable booking fee secures your date. It is not applied towards your final bill.
• Private events run four hours as standard, or three if you prefer. You have the room one hour beforehand for setting up.
• A 20% gratuity is added to the final bill. A $2 per person cake-cutting fee applies if you bring your own cake.
• Final headcount, menu and seating are confirmed with our event coordinator roughly two weeks before the event.
• Payment is due on the day, once the event has concluded. Pay in cash for 5% off; credit cards carry a 4% surcharge.

Inquiries sent through this site

Sending an inquiry does not reserve a date. Nothing is held until we have spoken and the booking fee is paid.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages you agree to receive marketing and promotional messages from A Salute. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. Reply HELP for information or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Third-party services

Reservations, delivery, catering requests and job applications are handled by third parties including OpenTable, Resy, DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats. We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or their terms. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement.

Photography

Photographs on this site are of A Salute and were taken at the restaurant. Rooms are shown as they were set for particular events; your own setup will differ. All content on this site — text, photographs, artwork and layout — belongs to A Salute or is used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our written consent.

Accuracy and liability

We provide this site as it is. We do not warrant that it will always be available or free of errors, and to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Allergies

Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish and other allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any dish is free of them. Please tell your server or our event coordinator about allergies and dietary requirements so we can work around them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date shown below.
