A Salute is an Italian restaurant and full-service cocktail bar located in an 1850 church on Main Street in Matawan. The 176-year-old building has retained its character and warmth, creating a comfortable setting for families and friends to enjoy lunch or dinner. The Garden Room is enclosed, climate-controlled, and available year-round. The outdoor patio is a separate seasonal space for warm-weather dining and live entertainment.
Over the last 45 years our location has given families in the Monmouth County area many memories, hosting parties for baptisms, communions, engagements, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Some of you might remember it as Bart’s; we welcome you to come see what we have done throughout the property.

Three rooms, three moods.
Each space is climate-controlled and fully staffed. The Church Room and Garden Room may be reserved for exclusive use when the applicable minimum food and beverage spend is met. The Inside Bar Room is a semi-private space.
Whatever you’re gathering for.
Baptisms and repasts. Bridal showers and boardroom dinners. The same room has held all of it — which is exactly why it handles yours well.
